Eliminate This “Healthy Food” For Fat Loss and Improved Health

Eliminate grains from your diet—you don’t need them. Yes I mean whole grains too.
They aren’t as healthy as the bread and cereal companies lead us to believe.

Replace grain consumption with vegetables, fruits, and nuts, because they are packed with nutrients and you’re not getting enough. Grains are a filler, and they make great animal feed for farmers who want to fatten up their livestock. Unfortunately, they have the same effect on humans. The problem with grains is that they contain minimal fibre, they rapidly raise blood sugar, and the foods containing grains are generally processed and absent of significant nutritional value. This leads to your body stimulating hunger more frequently and you overeating. Not to mention the digestion problems that many grains can cause.

If you’re satisfied with your current weight or want to add lean weight, and you also want to improve your overall state of health, then including white rice, rye, and quinoa in your diet is a much better choice than highly-processed breads and cereals that contain added sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, and genetically modified wheat. If you absolutely can’t live without your bread or toast, then opt for sprouted grain breads found in the freezer section of your grocery store. Sprouted grains are better digested but still don’t provide a significant amount of nutrition.

Eating whole grains is not the answer to improving your state of health. Most grain products are “enriched” with artificial nutrients not naturally occurring in real food. The nutrients they are touted to provide are found in larger quantities in vegetables, fruits, and nuts. Eating more of these foods is the answer to a healthier life.

Try eliminating grains from your diet and I bet you will be surprised how much you rely on them. For additional help with healthy living and fitness information ‘Like’ Grand Personal Training on Facebook, and email us with questions. We are here to help!
